According to Pantone, turquoise will be the IT color for 2010. Another color authority, The Color Marketing Group has selected Mardi Grape as the hot color trend. Mardi grape is kind of a subdued, elegant purple with tones of grey and brown. It’s a very neutral version of purple with staying power. And we are seeing everywhere that grey is replacing brown as the “go to” neutral that goes with everything. So the next time you are picking up some new macrame cord, you might consider something in silky grey, with turquoise and grape beads.
